John is a Founding Partner of Hansen Filler, having established the business in 2017. John has a background in Psychology and over a decade of Executive Search experience partnering with leaders of private equity, venture capital and listed businesses. Outside of work, John is a proud Welshman and enjoys spending time with his wife Victoria, daughter Ada and his infamous dog Winston.

Sam is a Founding Partner of Hansen Filler, having established the business in 2017. Sam has over 10 years' experience delivering Executive Search and Interim Management solutions to clients across Europe. Sam was previously responsible for the creation and growth of the Interim Practice at an award-winning international recruitment agency. Sam was a professional footballer by background and is a lover of sport in general! He is a proud husband to Louise, and father to Olivia and Teddy!

Phil joined HF as a Partner in 2023 and has over 10 years' experience in Executive Search & Interim Management. He has a proven track record of making senior appointments across a range of sectors in FTSE, Private Equity and Venture Capital businesses internationally. Outside of work, you will find Phil at Anfield following Liverpool football club, on the golf course or updating his travel bucket list.

After over five years of experience in HR recruitment and executive search, Nick joined Hansen Filler in 2023 to focus on permanent placements across the UK and Europe. A proud Glaswegian, Nick gained a master's degree in Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and worked across the country as an opera singer before making the move to London. Outside of the office, Nick enjoys supporting Scotland in whatever they are competing and trying out new places to eat!

Tom joined the team at Hansen Filler in October 2024 to lead the strategic build out of the technology practice. He has over 3-years of experience, and a proven track record of making senior software, engineering, and technology leadership appointments across the UK and Europe. Building upon HF’s success in HR, Finance, and Business Transformation, the Technology practice looks to complement our existing service line. Outside of work, you’ll find Tom playing Sunday league football, in the gym, or exploring new European cities!

Penny is an Executive Search consultant with proven ability at engaging and attracting senior talent across international markets. Penny has particular expertise in supporting Financial and Professional Services clients with their HR Generalist and Reward hiring needs. Prior to HF, Penny was a Division 1 Student Athlete representing Saint Joseph's University, in Lacrosse, alongside completing a degree in Communications and English. Outside of work, Penny enjoys reading and travelling around the world.

Focussing on permanent hires, Jack is the co-lead of the New York Human Resources Practice at Hansen Filler. Since joining in 2020, he has been instrumental in overseeing all permanent HR hiring in New York. Prior to joining a Hansen Filler, Jack graduated with a Master's Degree in International Business Management from the University of Exeter, where he earned a Commendation for outstanding academic performance. After completing his studies, he was signed to play professional rugby for Ealing Trailfinders, Doncaster Knights, and Richmond. He has since transitioned to a successful career in executive search, with a proven track record of supporting numerous PE-backed and Fortune 500 clients in NYC with various HR, Change, and Transformation appointments.

Allie joined Hansen Filler in June 2024 as a Researcher working with permanent placements with our clients across the UK and Europe. Following her graduation from Oxford Brookes in 2023, Allie created and implemented her own company that produces student drinking board games. Away from work, Allie can be found in Twickenham watching the rugby or playing club level Lacrosse.

Freya recently joined Hansen Filler as a Researcher and specialises in HR. Prior to joining the business, she graduated from Exeter University after reading Forensic Anthropology. Outside of work, you will find Freya either in the gym, powerlifting, or walking her 4 dogs in the countryside.

Ella heads up all things People, Culture and Operations; everything from internal recruitment & marketing to organising the yearly incentive trips and weekly competitions. Outside of work Ella competes in Ironman 70.3 events where she has represented GBR at the European Championships and competed at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships.

John is the Head of Finance & Operations at Hansen Filler and has been with the business from the very beginning, playing a critical role in our growth to date! John ensures Operations run smoothly and that contractors and clients have a positive experience when partnering with HF. When not working, you'll find John at his newly renovated house on the East Yorkshire coast or watching his beloved Leeds United!
